Overnight Oats By Emma

The last thing you want to do when you’re still half asleep is spend a whole lot of time making something for breakfast. That’s why I’ve embarked on an overnight oats journey, and now prepare them in the evening ready for an energising start to my day. A more refreshing version of your classic porridge oats, these are by far the easiest and most delicious breakfast option in my opinion.

Ingredients:

1 servings

Half a banana (chopped)

2 tbsp gluten free oats

Handful of dried goji berries

1 tsp Ground Flax Seeds

½ tsp Ground Chia Seeds

½ tsp Ground Cinnamon

Vanilla extract

Handful of fresh berries of your choice

Hemp seeds (optional)

Any milk of your choice

Utensils:

Glass container

  1. Layer the bananas at the bottom of your glass container
  2. Now put in two tablespoons of gluten free oats
  3. Give a handful of dried goji berries (optional)
  4. Add ground flax seeds
  5. Add ground chia seeds
  6. Add ground cinnamon
  7. Add a few drops of vanilla extract
  8. Add your fresh berries to slightly fill the pot a bit
  9. If you’d like some extra protein, add some hemp seeds
  10. Pour over your milk until it’s covered all your ingredients plus about a thumb more (this depends on the size and shape of your glass container but bear in mind your oats will expand overnight)
  11. Mix everything together
  12. Put in the fridge and leave overnight!
